THE GRAND TOUR FOUNDATION WILL HONOR MAYOR BUDDY DYER AND ROBERT EARL AT THE DICK POPE LEGACY AWARDS’ FIFTH ANNIVERSARY LUNCHEON IN OCTOBER
The Awards Luncheon will be held at Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, October 27th!
ORLANDO, Fla. . . (September 2017) The Grand Tour Foundation will recognize the honorable Mayor Buddy Dyer and Robert Earl at its Fifth Anniversary 2017 Dick Pope Legacy Awards Luncheon for their vision and leadership in tourism, on Friday, October 27th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar at Pointe Orlando on International Drive.
“We’re very excited to honor Mayor Buddy Dyer and Robert Earl into the Dick Pope Legacy “Legends” Club this year. Their works almost bookend the past thirty-five years of tourism development in Central Florida,” said Dr. Mary Jo Ross, Founder of The Grand Tour Foundation. “We are also doubly blessed this year to have Cuba Libre’s Chef Pernot to throw our anniversary party of our awards.”
The Dick Pope Legacy Awards acknowledges leadership that has significantly impacted the State of Florida as a premium destination for its growth and economic development. The Foundation is very excited to have the Luncheon at Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar this year, they have been an exceptional partner in providing exquisite cultural foods, “live” entertainment with Latin Wave and drawings of restaurant gift baskets and hospitality items from all over Central Florida for our guests. The Grand Tour Foundation has “room at the table” for additional partners who would like to team up to help aide events, to grow hospitality education programs, and award educational and training scholarships.
Our first to recognize is Mayor Buddy Dyer who has served as Mayor of the City of Orlando since 2003, and from his first day in office, he has worked tirelessly to advance the community’s shared vision for Orlando as America’s 21st Century City.
Under Mayor Dyer’s leadership and through strategic investments, Orlando is one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities and is the most visited destination in the country, hosting more than 65 million visitors each year. (Bio on Separate Sheet)

Our second to recognize is Robert Earl who has been a leading figure in the hospitality and food & beverage industries, Robert Earl is the founder and Chairman of Planet Hollywood International, Inc and the chairman of the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
